Annual festival of the shrine. The highlight of this festival is So-odori Yamaguchi Minakoi Nonta, a folk dancing parade of about 1,500 people in tune with the merry music through the city. Many events are scheduled during the festival period.

from 6:30 p.m.: Sagi-no-mai (Heron Dance) in the shrine precincts
7 p.m.-9 p.m. Parade of three mikoshi through the main streets of the city

7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. So-odori Yamaguchi Minakoi Nonta

Yasaka-jinja Shrine: JR Yamaguchi Line to Kami-Yamaguchi Station, and then walk 15 min.
