Tokyo: Bunkyo Tsutsuji Matsuri

Tsutsuji (azalea) Flower Festival. You can enjoy viewing of about 3,000 azalea blossoms and art performances. Admission to the garden is ¥200. If it rains, art performances will be canceled.

Schedule & Key events:
● daily 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Azalea garden is open
● April 9
from 11 a.m.: Mikoshi (portable shrine) parades in the shrine precincts
● April 29 & April 30
from noon: Taiko in the shrine precincts
from 1 p.m.: Various entertainments in the shrine precincts
● April 30
2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Parade of kappore (traditional Japanese comic dance) on Sendagi 2 cho-me shopping street

Location: Nezu-jinja Shrine and others, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo


Access:
(1) Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station (C14) or Sendagi Station (C15), and then walk 5 min.; (2) Tokyo Metro Namboku Line to Todaimae Station (N12), and then walk 5 min.
