Tokyo: Bokutei Sakura Matsuri

Cherry Blossom Festival. You can enjoy viewing of cherry blossoms in the park. Some events are scheduled on Sakurabashi Bridge over Sumida River on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival period.

Schedule & Key events:
● daily 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Flowers are lit up
● April 1
11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tea house is set up, serving by geigi (female entertainers)
from noon: Shishimai (lion dance)
3:30 p.m.-3:50 p.m. Street performance at Sakurabashi Bridge
● April 2
10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Pantomime at Sakurabashi Bridge
11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Kappore (traditional Japanese comic dance) at Sakurabashi Bridge
11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tea house is set up, serving by geigi
from noon: Shishimai
noon-4 p.m. Taiko at Sakurabashi Bridge

Access:
(1) Tokyo Metro Ginza Line or Toei Asakusa Subway Line to Asakusa Station (G19, A18), and then walk 5 min.; (2) Toei Asakusa Subway Line to Honjo-Azumabashi Station (A19) (Exit A1 or A3) , and then walk 10 min.
