The festival is with over a 1,200 year history. Parade of hanayatai (11 house-shaped floats, colorfully embellished with artificial cherry blossoms and paper lanterns) and three mikoshi (portable shrine) are the highlight.

● April 17 from noon: Parade of mikoshi from Futarasan-jinja Shrine to Hongu-jinja Shrine
Location: Futarasan-jinja Shrine and others, Nikko, Tochigi
JR Nikko Line to Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Line to Tobu-Nikko Station. From there, take bus to Nishi-Sando Bus Stop (7 min.), and then walk 7 min.
