Aug. 19-Oct. 4

The Tokyo Institute of Photography celebrates the 100th birth anniversary of Hollywood actress Ingrid Bergman with an exhibition of Bergman portraits at its 72 Gallery. These photographs are prints of those in the Kobal collection, one the most appraised film image archives, which was founded during the 1960s by film critic and collector John Kobal.

Though Bergman is the focus, photographs of her contemporaries — Vivien Leigh, Ava Gardner, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Katharine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly — will also be exhibited and available to buy.
