March 6-29

Since its establishment in 1919, the Shiseido Gallery has run many series of public exhibitions, of which the "Shiseido Art Egg" is one of the opportunities to discover new artistic talent.

The ninth of the series, the show is separated into three sessions, with each featuring an up-and-coming artist. This year, the gallery has introduced illustrator Rikako Kawauchi and sculptor Momoyo Iijima, and it is now concluding with installation artist Tetsuro Kano.

Kano is known for installations that combine man-made materials such as ceramics with branches, fruit and other natural components. As part of this exhibition, he will release a bird inside the gallery space to illustrate the existence of situations and systems that are uncontrollable by humans.
