After three years of renovation work, the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum is reopening on Nov. 22 with an additional wing, which will be the venue for the museum's new lineup of contemporary art, videos and performing-arts projects.

The wing's inaugural exhibition features contemporary artist Rei Naito, who is known for her conceptual minimalist works that focus on texture instead of color. Her new paintings and sculptures encourage viewers to pay closer attention to often-ignored but important visual elements in life; Nov. 22-Dec. 25.
