This Japanese Blu-ray box set from Shochiku contains the four color films Yasujiro Ozu (1903-1963) made toward the end of his career and life. All have been digitally remastered to bring out the gorgeous colors of the original releases and come with English subtitles. Though Ozu's color films do not rank quite as high in the critical pantheon as his black-and-white masterpieces, they evidence his quick and total mastery of the color medium.
