Director: Harmony Korine
Harmony Korine’s fever dream of white folk’s gangsta fantasies — all gun-wielding bikini chicks and “Scarface”-obsessed metal-toothed rappers — is either tongue-in-cheek pandering to the lowest common denominator or a sly send-up of it. Or maybe both. His chief strategy here is Miley-ing the images of tween-queens Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson as girls who get a taste for stick-ups to fund their college break partying in Florida. It even has twerking.
