A tearjerker for dog lovers, this Emiko Hiramatsu melodrama, based on a novel by Yumi Yamashita, nonetheless addresses the problem of dogs left to die in animal shelters with a realism some may find shocking. The shelter-worker hero (Masato Sakai) struggles to save a problem dog who is doomed to be gassed if she doesn't find a new home in the title's seven days. The Taiwanese version of the Blu-ray is out now on import with English subs.
