Why not indulge yourself in art this weekend, and beyond, at Trans Arts Tokyo 2013 in Tokyo’s Kanda district. The art festival, which continues through Nov. 10, comprises a variety of exhibitions and events at 11 locations.

According to the organizers, art of every discipline “will take place all-at-once” during the festival run.

On Nov. 3, a special live-music event featuring musician Youpy and five other collaborations will be hosted at the former site of the Tokyo Denki University in Chiyoda Ward from 5 p.m. You can also enjoy a special project by Yoshikazu Yamagata until Nov. 10 at the Nagashima Building in Kanda, where the designer and his students are using the entire building to display their art and fashion works at the “Coconogakkou Exhibition.” An exhibition of photographs showcasing a fashion show that was held on the streets of Kanda will also be on display at the gallery in the Waterras Common building.

To begin a tour, start at the Kanda Nishikicho Kyodo building, where general information and passports for the venues will be available.

Trans Arts Tokyo 2013 takes place at 11 venues around the Kanda area, including 3331 Arts Chiyoda, Kanda Manseibashi Bridge and the former site of Tokyo Denki University. Events run through Nov. 10. Passports are ¥800. Most venues are open between 12 p.m. and 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.kanda-tat.com.
