Despite being "man's best friend," we rarely design our world around the happiness of dogs.

Under the direction of designer Kenya Hara, this exhibition seeks to rectify that neglect and explore new perceptions of modern architecture — to the scale of canine tenants.

Thirteen constructions are being featured, all of which are designed around specific dog breeds, including the Shiba, Spitz and Pug. Each architect's unique aesthetic is represented in works that complement the size and personalities of the chosen dogs.

For dog lovers who are also skilled carpenters, blueprints for all the works are available to download for free at www.architecturefordogs.com; Oct. 25-Dec. 21.
