It's not such a good idea. In my hometown, Sapporo, there is a local post office, but if the system is privatized, my nearest post office might close. My grandmother and grandfather can't drive so they need it.

Yes. If the post office stays government run, it won't last long. However, old and rural people rely on the post office. If it is privatized, the focus will be on profit and offices will be cut.
