Yamagata items in Cantonese fare
The Cantonese restaurant Akasaka Rikyu is holding a special course fair featuring dishes using products from Yamagata Prefecture, through Aug. 31 at its branches in the Akasaka and Ginza districts of Tokyo.
Located in northeastern Japan, Yamagata Prefecture is mountainous but has a long coastline along the Sea of Japan. With a humid summer and long, chilly winter, the prefecture produces and procures a wide variety of products from the sea and the mountains.
