U.N. reform talks to start July 6

A regional meeting involving a U.N. advisory panel to discuss how to reform the United Nations so it can better deal with today’s threats and challenges will take place July 6 and 7 in Kyoto, Senior Vice Foreign Minister Ichiro Aisawa said Wednesday.

Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi will attend the meeting of some members of the High-Level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change.
