OSAKA – Two personal computers storing almost 360,000 items of client data have been stolen from an office of Daiwa House Industry Co., the company said Tuesday.
The data comprise personal information on the clients, including names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses, the home builder said.
The Osaka-based company said one of its employees noticed the two computers were missing from its branch office in Tokyo on Monday morning. It said it reported the case to police later that day.
It said the data is only accessible with passwords.
