Suzuki launches new Let’s II scooter

Suzuki Motor Corp. on Tuesday launched a restyled version of the Let’s II Standard 50cc scooter.

The scooter’s suggested retail price is 105,000 yen, although industry officials said retailers are likely to sell it for around 90,000 yen, allowing it to compete with a Honda Motor Co. product in the same price range.

Honda’s scooter, which debuted in August, is assembled in China. The Suzuki model is the cheapest scooter assembled in Japan, Suzuki officials said.
